FOURTEX
The group exhibition FOURTEX, held at ZEIT IST KNAPP, marked a strong and well-received presentation of four contemporary positions in painting and sculpture. Curated by Kevin Schulzbus, the show brought together Kalu Vossbeck, Alex Katsuragawa, Alexander Schulz, and Dr. Molrok, each contributing a distinct visual and conceptual language.
Despite the individuality of their approaches, a shared sensibility toward material, gesture, and spatial tension connected the works. The exhibition unfolded as a dialogue — between precision and intuition, density and openness, control and release. The curatorial composition created a rhythm that allowed each position to stand on its own while forming a balanced and coherent whole.
The spatial arrangement emphasized the contrast between raw physical presence and subtle introspection. Surfaces, textures, and traces of process became central elements of perception, turning the exhibition space itself into an active field of reflection. Visitors responded positively to the immediacy and clarity of the presentation, describing the atmosphere as both concentrated and quietly charged.
FOURTEX demonstrated how different artistic vocabularies can converge into a unified, resonant experience — a convincing statement of contemporary artistic dialogue and a promising step in the ongoing development of each participating artist.
